lyrics

"Lost"

Siri:

“Make yourself at home! Yes, of course, you’ve been here before. Remember? Together, we watched the rapid progress of the traveler with our telescopes until he was lost among the distant inequalities of the ice”

“Doomscrollin’ Prelude”

Doomscrollin, homie
The news trollin'
Mood stolen
Who’s rollin?
Who knows what to do
When them bad boys comin for you,
Your stomach, your brew
Your gun, and your loot
Your chalk outline on your walk outside
You huffed, and you puffed, and you blew
They blue back through backs
Through crack, through New Jack
Through new facts to tax you!
Black man!
You!
Afghan!
You!
Whack ass, bootlicking asshole
You!
This side
You!
That side
You!
Gotta find a way to make up my own mind…

Doomscrollin’
Sick of them blue slogans
Images bruise focus
into produced omens

I ain’t no saint
That paints my chalk outline on your walk outside, nigga

Doomscrollin’
Sick of them blues slogans
Images bruise focus
into produced omens

I ain’t no saint
How quaint
How ya camera crew blame it all on a nigga
Shame on y’all!

Sci-Fi Narrator: “Ulyetus T. Clyde, Marina Octavia, and Marlow Manhattan are three newly successful venture capitalists struggling to maintain dominance in an entirely new kind of enterprise: the Hologram Zoo Application – an app that brings all your favorite entertainers directly to you - dead or alive. Operating as a unit, they are Hologram Zoo Inc. And while their app’s popularity may have exploded upon its release, they’ve still needed to maintain their day jobs in order to make ends meet. CEO Ulyetus‘ day job as a big cat zoologist, PR Executive Marina’s work in concert promotion, and Head of Programming Marlow’s disgraced innovations in the tech industry has led them each into a season of strife during a widespread outbreak of a deadly virus.

To maintain relevance, they’ve elected to chase the clout surrounding “The Tomb of Tornup” - a mausoleum-turned-tourist destination which has bizarrely become a trending topic due not only to the mysterious demise of the underground rapper buried inside of it, and the strangely explicit directions for the construction of the tomb detailed in the rapper’s last will and testament, but also the supernatural happenings reported to occur near or around the mausoleum. It is said that, late at night, one can hear the hypnotizing sounds of lofi hip-hop coming from within the walls of the tomb - luring listeners deeper within its haunted halls where they perish forever - if they’re lucky. If not, they could wind up listening to unmastered demo tapes ‘til the end of time.

Within the late rappers will, it was requested all of his online data be erased from the internet and converted to cassette tapes made from a rare material referred to only as “black gold.” This has created a deviant lust from media consumers for Tornup content, because if there’s anything people want, it’s something they can’t have, a human condition that Hologram Zoo Inc. is more than willing to exploit.

The app’s top brass are hopeful that by re-converting the lost Tornup tapes valued at millions, into digital media, they may be able to get an advantage over their increasing competition and continue on their mission - putting on display and immortalizing the worlds most celebrated public figures.

However, tonight their hands are dirty with the soil that separates the living world from the dead world, their minds septic with the intention of theft. Previous attempts to break into The Tomb of Tornup have proven perilous, so the app crew have contracted an enigmatic spiritual advisor named Madame Whitaker to act as a sort of supernatural Sherpa - guiding their adventure into the dark and the unknown.

As you’ll soon see, for the aspiring venture capitalists, stealing from the grave of a poor local artist may not be a dream job, but as we all know, making a buck in America isn’t for the faint of heart."
